Position Overview

As part of the PD/Production team manage the Product Development and Production (full product life cycle) for a woven category within the Lauren Sportswear brand. Partner with the Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and Raw Materials Teams, as well as Sourcing Offices, Factories & Mills to ensure the integrity of product from salesman sample to bulk production.

Support the development and execution of the product strategy for the brand to create best overall value in terms of product, price, lead-time and quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Request, manage and track development and showroom samples


* Comprehend strategies and align execution plans with Brand, Sourcing offices, Raw Material Team and Product Integrity


* Partner with Design on all design approvals and comments


* Partner with Tech team to ensure design execution meets Product Standards/RL requirements


* Analyze lead -times and activities from development to store


* Monitor the timely approval of raw material components to support on time bulk deliveries and understand design style changes and its impact to delivery, and liability.


* Communicate with vendors and suppliers to address development and resolve production issues


* Submit and follow up on testing to ensure the quality level of the products are in the limits for the defined quality standards


* Monitor /maintain weekly T&A, WIP tracker


* Partner with Merchandising, raw material teams and sourcing office to platform and/or position raw materials


* Ensure fit approvals are approved to meet delivery deadlines


* Provide order placement timelines and MOQ's to Merchandising, Regions & Channels


* System maintenance and input is required to support all of the above functions in our corporate systems



Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Bachelor's Degree
* 2+ years of experience in the apparel industry
* Knowledge of woven fabric and garment manufacturing process;
* Knowledge of apparel product development
* Strong communication and cross-functional team collaboration skills; ability to work closely with Design, Technical Design, Raw Materials, and Merchandising Teams, as well as Sourcing Offices
* Strong organizational skills with detailed attention to product information
* Strong computer skills; excel, outlook, PLM
