Promote an understanding of ISO New England's mission by developing a wide variety of print and digital content for employees and a broad range of external audiences (national and regional media, utility and energy companies, financial institutions, state policymakers and commissioners, and federal regulators). This role requires a flexible and prolific writer who explores and develops new, creative communications solutions. They will track and keep current on all major ISO initiatives and issues, gather and translate data and statistics from departments companywide, and develop interesting ways to present that data and information. Build highly-collaborative relationships across the enterprise to create effective content strategies and collaborates with other members of the Corporate Communications team to ensures that key messages are reflected in all communications. Responsibilities: Print and Digital Collateral Pitches, researches, outlines, and writes brochures, handouts, and other corporate collateral materials and solutions. Two major areas of focus: Annual Regional Electricity Outlook (the REO) Serve as the principal researcher and writer for this cornerstone communications piece which also serves as the foundation for all communications presented throughout the year. Responsible for developing the project timeline, coordinating review cycles and ensuring all milestones are achieved. Collaborate with CEO, senior management, SMEs, and other members of team to develop the annual theme and messages. Track and keep current on all major ISO initiatives and issues throughout the year; gather the latest data and statistics from departments across the enterprise. Develop interesting ways to present the data in the document, thoroughly fact-check all data and information. Educational/Promotional Web Content Create/refresh content for the corporate educational pages (About Us section of iso-ne.com). Incorporate REO messaging and data into website. Develop other innovative ways to showcase the ISO s mission, successes, and challenges that are contemporary, understandable, and interesting to a variety of audiences. External and Internal News Like a journalist, pitch, research, interview subject experts, and write monthly articles on ISO and industry news for our external news blog, ISO Newswire, to engage and educate readers on ISO initiatives and mission. Curate and write employee news for the intranet with the goal of helping build community within the organization; coordinates with Web Team on topics. Executive Communications Write the CEO remarks for the four major employee events per year and others as assigned; write the CEO cover letters for the REO and financial annual report, applying current corporate messaging; write other ad hoc communications. Data Collaboration Collaborate with other Communications staff, External Affairs staff, and business units to track, compile, and maintain data for use in communication materials, ensuring consistency across mediums. Depending on experience, use Excel to create infographics. Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or related field. Experience writing for a variety of styles (web, news, reports, speeches, etc.) for both print and digital mediums Proven ability to tell a compelling story through words and graphics Fluency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience or interest in working with highly technical information Experience developing infographics a plus Experience writing annual reports a plus Experience working with web teams and graphic designers a plus Location and Benefits ISO New England is located in Holyoke, MA.
